July 13 - Carson Iceberg Wilderness

Other than the giant snow bank that apparently hasn't disappeared since it stopped Betsy and I while hiking with Mile and Cindy years ago, I can't quite figure out the iceberg portion of the wilderness's name. Overall it was pretty dry and snow free.

I walked a bit with Raven, who has changed her name as of yesterday to Speedy Gonzales, and Christmas Tree. Both of them I lost when they needed mid-day naps. I think Raven is behind and Christmas Tree is probably ahead now.

I camped with  couple from Alaska out on a hike with their border collie and three PCTers; Woodchuck, Serenity, and a guy who's name I can't remember. We had a nice campfire and shared some stories.

The trail has been dotted with these red plants that some call Snow Plant. I'm not sure what they are, but they're quite beautiful.
